RESPONSE – Partnership for Innovative Implant Technology

Future healthcare will not only be determined by developments in the economy, healthcare policy, the job market and income, but also by demographic changes in the spectrum of diseases and health-related behaviour.

RESPONSE focuses on the medical fields of application related to the treatment of cardiovascular disease, cataracts and glaucoma as well as hearing loss and deafness.

The aim is to develop clinically relevant treatments with innovative implants that relieve the burden on the healthcare system in the treatment of diseases and that are suitable for the use with multimorbid patients.

The RESPONSE consortium was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the context of the programme “Twenty20 – Partnership for Innovation”. The funding amount was 45 million euros provided in the period between 2014 and 2021.
