AgoraNatura - Online Marketplace for Certified Nature Conservation Projects

In order to preserve biodiversity and our natural livelihoods, we also require the financial commitment of businesses and private individuals. Currently, nature conservation is mainly funded by the state, but the available funds are far from sufficient.

The condition of nature in Germany continues to deteriorate. For this reason, colleagues from the fields of science, environmental protection and landscape conservation worked together on the AgoraNatura project to develop an online marketplace for certified nature conservation projects.

The aim of this marketplace was to promote the commitment of businesses and private individuals to nature conservation and thus provide additional funds for effective nature conservation work in Germany. Source: AgoraNatura

The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (research code: 01LC1315B), project duration: 1 July 2015 - 30 June 2021.
